Special Needs Teaching Assistant Opportunity in Woolwich
Working Hours: Monday to Friday – 8:30 to 16:30
Are you passionate about working in education and supporting children with special needs? We have an exciting opportunity for a Special Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to join our team and work 1:1 with an Autistic child in a Year 3 class. If you are dedicated to helping SEN children, particularly those with Autism and Speech and Language needs, this role is perfect for you.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 support for children with Autism
- Assist the class teacher with various tasks
- Support the entire class when necessary
- Care for and supervise children during break times
- Manage challenging behavior effectively
- Build and maintain positive relationships with parents

Essential Skills and Attributes:
- A genuine passion for supporting children with SEN
- Experience working with children with Autism/ADHD
- Natural enthusiasm for working with young children
- Ability to monitor and record a child’s progress accurately
- Understanding of safeguarding children
- Positive, caring, energetic, and proactive attitude
