Speech and language | Full time – long term | Immediate start| Richmond

A school located in Richmond are looking for a positive, highly experienced teaching assistant who has worked with children who have difficulty with their speech and language skills. This role can be challenging at times but very rewarding, so if you are up for this challenge this role is for you !

If you apply for this role you will be working closely with a student from a year 5 class who has difficulty with their speech and language skills. Your role will include finding creative learning activities that can help the student with their pronunciation and spelling of words they are struggling with. These roles could include : reading, keeping these words on display, create a spelling wall in the classroom etc. You will also be supporting the student at break and lunch, encouraging them to interact with their peers which will eventually build up their self-esteem. If accepted for this role you will be keeping record of their progress they are making, whilst highlighting the areas they need to improve on.
