Do you have experience with working with children with special needs?

A mainstream primary school in West Drayton, situated in the London Borough of Hillingdon (postcode UB7), is actively seeking a skilled and experienced Teaching Assistant. This role involves providing one-on-one support to a child with speech and language difficulties in year 2. The child is experiencing developmental delays and is currently falling behind in their academic progress.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work one-on-one or in small groups with students to develop speech and language skills
• Implement individualised education plans in collaboration with speech therapists and teachers
• Assist in creating a supportive and inclusive classroom environment
• Provide guidance and support during classroom activities and assessments
• Monitor student progress and communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and other stakeholders

Requirements:

• Experience working with students with speech and language needs (preferred)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting student learning
• Relevant qualifications or certifications in speech and language therapy or education
• Able to work Full-time Monday to Friday 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM
• Must be passionate about working with children
