Ortus Recruitment are working with a fantastic mainstream primary school within the Merton borough and they are seeking a speech and language teaching assistant to commit to a full time – long term role. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background and understanding of the primary curriculum.

The role :

• Position : speech and language teaching assistant
• Location : Merton
• Full time – long term
• Immediate start
• £80-£90 per day

Within this role you will be working specifically in a year class supporting students, who have speech and language difficulties, in their reading, writing and numeracy skills. You will be responsible for breaking down the lesson in simpler terms so they get a better understanding. Furthermore you will be working closely with the class teacher and parents, giving them feedback on the pupils progress and highlighting the areas they need to improve on.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and a strong academic background which will help the pupils reach their full potential. You should also have a DBS on the update service or wiling to process one through Ortus Recruitment (£52).
