A friendly and inclusive primary school in Croydon is seeking an SEN Teaching Assistant to work with a Year 2 pupil who requires additional support with communication and language development.

The Role:

• Provide targeted support to a Year 2 child with speech and language needs.
• Use communication strategies such as PECS, Makaton, or visual aids.
• Work closely with the school’s speech and language therapist.
• Support the child’s social interaction and engagement in lessons.
• Create a nurturing and structured learning environment.

About You:

• Experience supporting children with speech and language difficulties is desirable.
• Knowledge of PECS, Makaton, or similar communication tools is beneficial.
• A patient, supportive, and creative approach to learning.
• Strong collaboration skills to work with teachers, therapists, and parents.
