Do you have experience supporting children with speech and language difficulties?
A welcoming primary school in Croydon is looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant to work with a Year 1 pupil who has delayed speech and language development, helping them build communication skills and confidence.

The Role:

• Work one-to-one with a Year 1 pupil to support speech and language development.
• Use visual prompts, Makaton, and other communication strategies.
• Implement activities designed by the class teacher and speech therapist.
• Encourage engagement in class and support social interaction with peers.
• Monitor progress and provide feedback to staff and parents.

About You:

• Experience supporting children with speech and language needs.
• Knowledge of Makaton, PECS, or other communication aids is an advantage.
• Patient, encouraging, and adaptable approach.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
