Here at Ortus Recruitment we are seeking an a recent Graduate with Sports Coaching experience to join one of our Mainstream Primary Schools on a full-time basis with an immediate start. The school is located in the London Borough of Southwark, Dulwichand they are Ofsted rated ‘Good’.

Within this role you will play an important role in promoting physical fitness and activities. Your passion for sports, commitment to student development, and willingness to contribute to a positive learning environment.

Must have:

• A clear enhanced child workforce DBS on the update service or be willing to process one through Ortus Recruitment – £52
• Two obtainable childcare relevant references
• A minimum Grade C in GCSE English and Math

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Within this role you will be responsible for working alongside the PE Teacher to develop and implement innovative sports lessons for pupils.
• You will assist in setting up and packing away equipment and ensuring the pupils are in a safe environment
• Supervise and sometimes participate in lessons and extracurricular activities to inspire and motivate pupils
• Provide additional support to pupils who may require extra assistance
• Help organise and facilitate internal school events, tournaments and competitions

Requirements:

• A strong academic background, educated to degree level in sports
• A genuine passion for supporting children in a school setting
• Prior experience in coaching or working with children in a school setting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively as a team
• Knowledge of various sports and fitness activities
• A commitment to maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment for pupils
