Our client school in Hendon is looking for a Classroom Assistant/Sports Coach to support with emotion regulation and challenging behavioural needs through classroom based activities and physical/sensory learning . This is an inclusive and diverse primary school located in the heart of the Barnet Borough. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with experience as a behaviour mentor, sport coach, youth worker, special educational needs assistant and/or learning support assistant.
As a Classroom Assistant/Sports Coach, you will gain invaluable experience supporting a student on a 1:1 basis with their development and work in collaboration with dedicated and experienced practitioners who will encourage you every step of the way. You will be responsible for developing and delivering learning programmes to a pupil with behaviour difficulties. You will need to have an understanding of behaviour theory and an ability to build strong relationships with pupils, families and other practitioners. You must have the ability to identify individual needs and create effective strategies to support pupils in the classroom.

- Implement development through sensory learning
- Implement development through physical education
- Ability to establish trust and respect
- Firm but fair approach
- Behaviour management experience
- SEN experience
- Ability to problem solve and take initiative
- Good communication skills
