Sports Graduate Behaviour Mentor
A reputable People Referral Unit (PRU) based in Kennington, seek recent graduates in sports, psychology, English or maths to support their school immediately as a Behaviour Mentor/General Assistant. Our partnered school are looking to trial/interview candidates with recent experience coaching/mentoring children or working with children 1 to 1. The school has an ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted rating and staff that will make you feel welcome from the start. This is a perfect opportunity for any individual with a sporty background with transferable skills, who would like to transition into the education sector to support children in a classroom environment. Also, we welcome candidates with experience/qualifications relevant to working with primary aged children.
As a sports graduate teaching assistant, you will support the teaching staff in delivering high-quality education and programs. Your role will involve assisting in organizing activities and providing guidance to students.
Please note: Candidates must be available to interview/trial immediately. They will offer a permanent contract to the successful candidate.
Working Days: Monday – Friday (No Weekends)
Working Hours: 08.30am – 16.00pm
Location: Kennington, South-East London
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Sports Science, Physical Education, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of various sports disciplines, rules, and techniques.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students.
- Experience working with children or young adults in a sports or educational setting is desirable.
- Organizational skills and ability to manage time effectively.
- Knowledge of safety protocols, first aid procedures, and injury prevention techniques.
- Team player with the ability to collaborate with teachers, coaches, and staff members.
- Genuine passion for sports and a commitment to promoting an active and healthy lifestyle.
