We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary Teaching Assistant to join our team and contribute to our students’ success.

Role Overview:

As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you will support the educational and social development of our students. Working closely with teachers, you will help deliver engaging lessons, provide individual and group support, and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers in planning and delivering lessons
  • Provide individualized support to students with diverse needs
  • Help manage classroom behavior and promote a positive learning atmosphere
  • Support students with special educational needs (SEN)
  • Prepare classroom materials and resources
  • Assist with the assessment and tracking of student progress
  • Supervise students during breaks, lunchtimes, and school activities
  • Participate in school events and extracurricular activities

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role
  • A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • A patient and empathetic approach to supporting students
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2 or 3, NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning)
  • Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check required

Desirable:

  • Experience working with children with SEN
  • First Aid certification
  • Additional training or qualifications in child development or education
