Teaching Assistant ?
Our partnered mainstream primary school based in Streatham Hill are seeking a highly motivated individual to work alongside the class teacher to encourage pupils in their learning and acquisition of skills, be it academic, practical, behavioural or social, by adopting intervention strategies.
The role will involve supporting the learning of individual pupils, as well as small groups, by complementing teaching and learning strategies deployed by the teacher.
The ability to work across the primary age range may be required. Candidates will need to be flexible, as they may be required to provide support to the After School Club on occasion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to a child with specific learning needs
- Assist the child in accessing the curriculum and achieving their educational goals
- Collaborate closely with teachers and SENCO to implement individualized learning plans
- Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment
Desirable Skills and Experience:
- Previous experience working with children with learning needs and autism
- Understanding of SEN support strategies and interventions
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patient, empathetic, and dedicated to supporting every child’s learning journey
