About your role as the new Teaching Assistant
As a Teaching Assistant, you will have strengths within primary education, teaching KS 1 and KS 2. You will be responsible for providing support and assistance to the pupils, whether it be in a group or 1:1 setting, as well as supporting the class teacher.
Your other duties will include:
- To build and maintain successful relationships with pupils, treat them consistently, with respect and consideration.
- To help promote independent learning
- To help reinforce learning.
- To help students record work appropriately.
- To help build the students’ confidence and enhance self-esteem.
What you will need to succeed
- Experience working within a primary classroom.
- Good behaviour management and organisational skills. •
- You must hold a DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for a DBS through Ortus Recruitment.
