A ‘Good’ Ofsted rated primary school situated in Grove Park now seek an experienced Teaching Assistant to join their team immediately to support a child in Reception with social communication difficulties. Our partnered mainstream primary have lovely staff and a very supportive senior leadership team, who will offer a permanent contract for the right candidate based on performance. This is a full time position, working Monday – Friday from 08:30am to 16:00pm and the school is looking to trial candidates as soon as possible

Role:

• Supporting young vulnerable pupil with learning and behaviour
• Ensuring positive behaviour is displayed in the classroom
• Identify barriers of how their behaviour has an impact on their education
• Help to develop strategies and create action plans to encourage positive learning
• Building a strong relationship with all students that you work with; be a positive role model.
• Working hours: Monday – Friday (8:30am – 16:00pm)
• Full-Time
• Based in Grove Park

Requirements:

• Have experience working with children/ young people, e.g., Youth Work | Mentoring | Tutoring | Childcare | Voluntary
• Degrees in Maths, English, Sciences, Psychology, Education, Drama and Performing Arts are ideal, but we welcome applicants with degrees beyond this or relevant qualifications for working with children
• Be friendly, confident, outgoing, and reliable
• A genuine interest and passion for supporting young vulnerable pupil
• Previous experience working with SEN\Challenging behaviour will be advantageous

This is a long-term, full time opportunity for that reason we require a teaching assistant who is fully flexible to commit with their role.
