Ortus Recruitment is seeking a recent graduate to join a welcoming and well-known Primary School based in the London Borough of Lambeth. Our partner Primary School is hoping to find a proactive, reliable, and enthusiastic individual looking to commit to a role for at least a year, to start with them from September 2024.

The successful candidate will be working as a general Teaching Assistant (TA) as well as working 1:1 with pupils who have additional needs (SEN) and taking small group to give targeted subject support. This school has an “Outstanding” grading from Ofsted, and they have great transportation links.

We are seeking a recent graduate with a 2:1 or above, and experience working with primary aged children, this role would be particularly well suited to a Teaching Assistant aspiring to become a Class Teacher in the future.

The successful teaching assistant must be flexible with a strong work ethic, and a passion for educating children. Teaching Assistant will have the opportunity to work across the Primary age range: with Reception (EYFS), Key stage 1 (KS1) and Key stage 2 (KS2).

Requirements:

• Recent Graduate with a 2:1 or above.
• Experience working in a Primary School.
• Confident and capable across the primary curriculum.
• Proactive, reliable, and flexible.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
