Teaching Assistant

Role Overview:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play an integral role in supporting the educational needs of students and assisting educators in delivering exceptional learning experiences. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Preparation of Educational Materials: Designing and organizing engaging teaching resources that enhance students’ academic development.
- Classroom Management: Maintaining a clean, organized, and conducive learning environment to support effective teaching.
- Student Support: Offering tailored academic assistance to individual students or small groups, helping them reach their full potential both in and out of the classroom.
- Health and Safety Oversight: Promoting and ensuring the well-being and safety of all students, creating a secure and supportive learning atmosphere.
- Behavior Management Support: Assisting teachers in managing classroom behavior and implementing discipline strategies when necessary.
- Resource Management: Ensuring that all required materials and supplies are readily available to students to facilitate smooth daily operations.
- Collaborative Assistance: Working closely with teachers and other staff members to foster a cohesive and supportive educational environment.
What We’re Looking For:
The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following qualifications and attributes:
- Proven experience with the upper KS2 curriculum, including delivering targeted speech, language, and communication interventions.
- A proactive, flexible, and assertive approach, with the ability to adapt to the dynamic needs of the classroom.
- Confidence in working one-on-one with students or in small groups, particularly those with additional or special educational needs.
- Commitment to a full-time, long-term role within the school.
- A Level 3 qualification or a minimum of a 2:2 degree in a relevant field, such as psychology, literacy, numeracy, or educational studies.
