Teaching Assistant

We are looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate individual who is committed to supporting students with SEN and challenging behaviour. As part of a supportive and collaborative team, you will have the chance to work closely with pupils to enhance their academic, social, and personal development, ensuring that they receive the individualised support they need to succeed in the mainstream classroom.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting Pupils with SEN and Challenging Behaviour: Work closely with students who require additional support, including those with Autism and other behavioural needs, helping them engage with the curriculum and develop crucial skills for success.
  • Behavioural Support and Management: Collaborate with teachers and senior staff to implement effective behaviour management strategies. Provide consistent support to help pupils manage their emotions, improve focus, and stay on task.
  • Individualised Learning Support: Provide one-on-one and small group assistance, tailoring your approach to meet the specific needs of each student. Support the delivery of differentiated learning activities to ensure all pupils make progress.
  • Encouraging Engagement: Motivate pupils to actively participate in lessons, activities, and social interactions, promoting their self-confidence and developing their communication and social skills.
  • Classroom Assistance: Prepare resources, assist in managing the classroom environment, and contribute to the overall organisation and smooth running of lessons. Support teachers with administrative tasks as needed.
