This rewarding position involves providing tailored 1:1 support for a KS1 pupil with Autism, with the potential to transition into a permanent position in August 2025.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide focused, 1:1 support to a KS1 pupil with Autism, ensuring both their academic and emotional needs are addressed.
• Collaborate closely with the class teacher to implement effective strategies and adapt learning materials to support the pupil’s progress.
• Foster an inclusive, supportive, and engaging learning environment for all students.
• Build a strong, trusting relationship with the pupil to encourage positive engagement and boost their confidence in school.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, particularly with children who have Autism or additional learning needs.
• A proactive, confident, and dynamic approach, with the ability to contribute meaningfully to the classroom from day one.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, enabling you to effectively support both the pupil and the wider class.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one through Ortus Recruitment.
