Teaching Assistant
We’re excited to be supporting a friendly and forward-thinking mainstream primary school in Roehampton in their search for a committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant. The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils across different year groups, providing tailored assistance to help them thrive academically and socially. You’ll be working closely with class teachers and other staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all children, including those with additional learning needs.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Supporting children with their learning through small group and one-to-one interventions
- Assisting teachers in preparing resources and delivering high-quality, engaging lessons
- Encouraging pupil participation and helping to manage behaviour in line with school policies
- Promoting emotional well-being and fostering independence in students
- Liaising with staff and parents to share progress and help create consistent support strategies
Who We’re Looking For
- Someone with experience working with children, ideally in a school or educational setting
- A caring, adaptable, and proactive attitude
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- An interest in supporting pupils with additional needs, although previous SEN experience is not essential
- Relevant qualifications in education or childcare are welcomed but not required
