Ortus Recruitment is working in partnership with a welcoming and high-achieving primary school in Battersea, who are looking to appoint a dedicated Teaching Assistant for an immediate start. This is a full-time role supporting pupils across Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2, offering an excellent opportunity to join a school with high expectations, a strong support network, and a clear commitment to pupil progress and staff development.

The Role:

• Supporting class teachers with the delivery of engaging, curriculum-led lessons
• Working with pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups to support learning and attainment
• Assisting with literacy and numeracy interventions
• Helping to maintain a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
• Supporting pupils’ academic and personal development throughout the school day

The Ideal Candidate:

• Previous experience working in a primary school or similar educational setting
• A good understanding of the primary curriculum (KS1 or KS2)
• Confident supporting learning in English and Maths
• A proactive, reliable, and committed approach
• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
• A degree is desirable but not essential
