Ortus Recruitment is seeking a recent graduate to join a welcoming and well-known Primary School based in the London Borough of Lambeth. Our partnered Mainstream Primary School is hoping to find a proactive, reliable, and enthusiastic individual looking to commit to a role for the rest of the academic year with them, starting immediately.

The successful candidate will be working as a general Teaching Assistant (TA) and there is another vacancy for an experienced TA to work across EYFS, Year 1 and Year 2. This mainstream primary school has an “Outstanding” Ofsted rating, it is based in a vibrant location and it has excellent transportation links.

We are seeking a recent graduate with a 2:1 or above, and experience working with primary aged children, this role would be particularly well suited to a Teaching Assistant aspiring to become a Class Teacher in the future.

Please Note: We welcome applicants with degrees beyond this or relevant qualifications for working with children.

The successful teaching assistant must be flexible with a strong work ethic, and a passion for educating children. Teaching Assistant will have the opportunity to work across the Primary age range: with Reception (EYFS), Key stage 1 (KS1) and Key stage 2 (KS2).

Requirements:

• Recent Graduate with a 2:1 or above.
• Experience working in a Primary School.
• Confident and capable across the primary curriculum.
• Proactive, reliable, and flexible.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
