ORTUS RECRUITMENT are seeking a candidate to join one of our wonderful mainstream Primary Schools based in Lewisham, Brockley.

We are seeking someone who has experience working alongside children in a school based or social setting, someone who is eager, energetic and enthusiastic, someone who will join this amazing school and hit the ground running building a positive rapport with both pupils and staff, as well as helping pupils develop their academic, emotional and social skills.

The ideal candidate will:

• Have experience working alongside children in a school based or social setting
• Be able to follow instructions from the class teacher as well as work off of their own initiative
• Be able to reliably commute to Brockley.
• Have a clear DBS on the update service or be willing to process one through Ortus Recruitment (£52).

The role will consist of supporting a year 5 class in the classroom and around the school. You will be working closely with the class teacher to prepare and set out activities for the pupils as well as supporting them with completing it. You will be required to do some administrative duties such as handing out and marking homework, spelling tests and work, as well as photocopying and laminating.

The school is based in Brockley and boasts an ‘Outstanding’ report from Ofsted. The school takes staff wellbeing very seriously and makes an extra effort to ensure all staff have a positive attitude to working by holding weekly wellbeing meetings and regular staff outings to increase rapport.
