Ortus recruitment is currently assisting our partnered mainstream primary school to seek for an experienced Teaching Assistant to support a child in KS1 with ADHD 1:1. This is a rewarding role as you will be helping the child to get the most out of education and you will be seen by the school as a positive role model. Our partnered primary school has an ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted rating, great facilities and all the resources you will need to support the child in KS1. This is a great opportunity for a Teaching Assistant with experience supporting a child with SEN or a candidate who has experience working with children in a social/professional environment and is looking to broaden their experience working with vulnerable pupil.

The Role:

• Teaching Assistant (1:1)
• KS1 pupil with ADHD
• Monday to Friday (No Weekends)
• Working Hours: 08:30 – 16:00 (6.5 hrs / 30 minutes break)
• Immediate/September 2023 Start

Qualifications and Experience:

• A degree or relevant qualifications in Education, Maths, English, Sciences, Psychology, Drama, or Performing Arts or related field
• Strong understanding of working with children/ young people, e.g., Youth Work, Mentoring, Tutoring, Childcare, Voluntarily
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
