The Job Information:

· Position: Teaching Assistant

· Pay: £85 – £100 per day, PAYE – No hidden agency/umbrella company fees

· Location: Bermondsey

· Role:Full time, Long term, Monday – Friday (08:30 – 16:00)

You must have TWO obtainable childcare relevant references

You must have a clear Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the update service or be willing to process one through Ortus Recruitment – £52

Requirements:

· The successful candidate will have minimum Grade C in English and Math GCSE

· You will need to have a kind and nurturing attitude

· You will need the ability to maintain a professional manner in challenging situations

· Experience assisting the Class Teacher in planning, leading and learning activities

· A proven ability to work on your own initiative

· A ‘Can do’ attitude

Main Responsibilities:

· Work under the guidance of the class teacher to support the management and organisation of teaching and learning in the classroom (form group based)

· Assist the teacher in creating and maintaining a purposeful, orderly and supportive learning environment

· Promote the inclusion of all pupils ensuring they have equal access to opportunities to learn and develop

· Be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people within the school

· Contribute to the personal and academic progress of all students to enable them to become independent learners and help to raise the standards of achievement for all students.
