We are currently looking for a Teaching Assistant with Primary School experience who can implement their knowledge and skills to support children with Special Educational Needs. You will need to confidently manage behaviour, aid social and emotional development and build positive relationships with pupils and staff.

The school is a mainstream, Ofsted rated ‘Good’ Primary school that puts the child at the heart of everything it does. It is located in the heart of Brent with a number of bus routes and underground stations within walking distance.

Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:
– Assist the lead teacher in implementing educational activities and lesson plans
– Provide support to students with special needs, including those with autism
– Help create a safe and inclusive learning environment
– Assist with classroom management and behaviour management strategies
– Lead group interventions to raise attainment and support children with SEN
– Support students during transitions between activities and locations within the school
– Assist with maintaining a clean and organized classroom environment

Teaching Assistant Expectations:
– Experience working with children, particularly those with special needs or autism
– Knowledge of early childhood development and educational practices
– Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
– Ability to work effectively as part of a team
– Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help children learn and grow
