We have a fantastic opportunity for an Experienced Teaching Assistant to join one of our thriving mainstream primary schools located in the London Borough of Lewisham, Brockley. The school are looking for someone who is able to commit to full time, long term work with an immediate start. This role is an ongoing opportunity throughout the academic year (July 2024).

Job Summary:

• £90 – £100 per day, PAYE – No hidden agency/umbrella company fees
• General Teaching Assistant duties – Year 3 class
• Immediate start, Full time, Long term (Ongoing throughout the academic year)

Requirements:

• You must have an Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the update service or be willing to process one through Ortus Recruitment – £52
• You must have two obtainable childcare relevant references (ideally school based, desired, not essential)
• A strong academic background, must have minimum Grade C in GCSE English and Math
• You must have strong communication and interpersonal skills
• You must be patient and resilient within this role
• You must be passionate and dedicated to aiding the development of the pupils

Roles and Responsibilities:

• You will work alongside the Class Teacher supporting a Year 3 class as a General Teaching Assistant
• You will be responsible for assisting the class teacher in planning, preparing and delivering lessons to pupils
• You will need to implement behaviour strategies where necessary, and may be required to lead 1:1 behaviour/learning interventions
• You will need to liaise with the class teacher and the parents/carers to provide feedback on pupil progress
