Job Summary:

• General Teaching Assistant
• £90 – £100 per day, PAYE – No hidden agency/umbrella company fees
• Immediate start, long term – Role ongoing throughout the academic year

Here at Ortus Recruitment we are seeking an experienced teaching assistant to join one of our vibrant mainstream primary schools.

Must have:

• Enhanced child workforce DBS on the update service or be willing to process one through Ortus Recruitment for £52
• Two obtainable childcare relevant references
• A minimum grade C in GCSE English and Math

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Work alongside the class teacher in delivering lessons to pupils, providing one to one and small group interventions
• Assist the class teacher in helping to maintain a safe working environment by managing challenging behaviour as well as ensuring their wellbeing and reinforcing classroom rules
• You may be required to undertake administrative duties such as updating/removing display boards and photocopying/laminating worksheets
• Liaise with the parents/carers and provide feedback on pupils progress

Requirements:

• Experience working alongside children in a schools setting
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• A clear understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures
