Ortus Recruitment are looking to recruit a motivated Teaching Assistant to commit to a full time – long term role in a mainstream primary school in Chessington. The ideal candidate should have more than a years’ experience working with children in a professional setting and should be available from Monday – Friday, 8:30am-4:00pm.

The role:

• Position : Teaching Assistant
• Location : Chessington
• Full time – long term role
• PAYE (£80-£90)
• Monday – Friday, 8:30am-4:00pm (hour lunch break)
  
  

Within this role you will be working alongside the class teacher helping them plan, prepare and deliver the lesson, ensuring the children are staying on task and keeping engaged. You will also be working 1:1 or in small groups of students who are having difficulty processing the lesson. Not only will you be supporting children inside the classroom, but at break and lunch as well. You will be responsible for making sure there emotional, social and physical needs are being met.

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications and attributes:

• Strong academic background with a degree from a reputable university and good level of Maths and English
• Proactive, confident, and flexible attitude
• Ability to work effectively as part of a large team
• Strong commitment, reliability, and willingness to get involved
