Salary: £18,000 – £22,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Job Description:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers to provide tailored support for individual pupils and small groups, particularly those with special educational needs (SEN) or requiring additional assistance. You will play a key role in creating an engaging learning environment, supporting both academic and personal development, and ensuring each child feels valued and understood.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting the class teacher in the planning and delivery of lessons.
- Assisting pupils with their learning, both in one-to-one and group settings.
- Working with children with SEN to ensure they receive tailored support.
- Helping to maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Assisting with classroom management and pupil behaviour.
- Preparing classroom materials and resources as directed by the teacher.
- Supervising children during breaks and lunchtimes as needed.
- Participating in school events and extracurricular activities.
Person Specification:
We are looking for someone who is passionate about education and working with young children, with the ability to build positive relationships and support their individual learning needs.
Essential:
- A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development.
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Desirable:
- Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role.
- Experience working with children with SEN.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification).
