About the Role

The Teaching Assistant will work alongside class teachers to support the learning, development, and wellbeing of pupils across the school. This includes providing support to individuals and small groups, assisting in lesson delivery, and helping to create an inclusive and engaging learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting teaching and learning activities in the classroom.
• Delivering targeted interventions for individual pupils or small groups.
• Assisting with the planning and preparation of resources.
• Supporting children with special educational needs or additional needs.
• Promoting positive behaviour and a safe, supportive classroom atmosphere.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

• Have experience working with children, ideally in a school or educational setting.
• Be kind, patient, and adaptable, with a positive and proactive attitude.
• Have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Be able to work well as part of a team and on their own initiative.
• Hold a relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning – desirable but not essential).
