About the Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll work closely with teachers to support pupils in and out of the classroom. You’ll assist with daily learning activities, provide 1:1 and group support, and help create a positive and inclusive environment where every child can succeed.
You may be working across Early Years, Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2, depending on your experience and preference.
Responsibilities Include:
- Supporting teaching and learning in the classroom
- Delivering targeted interventions to small groups or individuals
- Helping pupils with additional needs (e.g., SEND, EAL)
- Preparing learning materials and resources
- Supporting children’s social and emotional development
- Supervising during break/lunch times where required
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience working with children (school, nursery, tutoring, or youth work)
- A kind, calm, and positive attitude
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Good literacy and numeracy (GCSEs in English & Maths required)
- A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning) is a plus but not essential
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
