About the Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll work closely with teachers to support pupils in and out of the classroom. You’ll assist with daily learning activities, provide 1:1 and group support, and help create a positive and inclusive environment where every child can succeed.

You may be working across Early Years, Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2, depending on your experience and preference.

Responsibilities Include:

• Supporting teaching and learning in the classroom
• Delivering targeted interventions to small groups or individuals
• Helping pupils with additional needs (e.g., SEND, EAL)
• Preparing learning materials and resources
• Supporting children’s social and emotional development
• Supervising during break/lunch times where required

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience working with children (school, nursery, tutoring, or youth work)
• A kind, calm, and positive attitude
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Good literacy and numeracy (GCSEs in English & Maths required)
• A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning) is a plus but not essential
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
