We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team at a school in Croydon. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher to support the learning and development of our students.

Responsibilities:

• Provide one-to-one and group support to students with their learning and development
• Assist the class teacher in preparing and delivering lessons
• Provide feedback to the class teacher on student progress and behaviour
• Supervise students during break and lunch times
• Participate in meetings and training sessions as required
• Help to create a safe and stimulating learning environment for students
• Contribute to the school’s safeguarding policies and procedures

Requirements:

• Experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a school setting
• Knowledge of the National Curriculum and a range of teaching strategies
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• A commitment to promoting the welfare and safeguarding of students

Desirable:

• A relevant qualification in teaching or childcare
• Experience working with students with special educational needs
