Role Overview: As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with classroom teachers to support the learning and development of pupils. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in children’s lives, particularly those with special educational needs (SEN) or requiring additional assistance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one or small group support to students.
• Assist with the preparation of learning materials and classroom activities.
• Support students with SEN, ensuring they are engaged and motivated.
• Help manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Foster students’ social and emotional well-being.
• Contribute to the development of educational programs and activities.
• Provide feedback to teachers regarding students’ progress.

Essential Requirements:

• Experience working with children in an educational setting (preferably within a school).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and staff.
• Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping students succeed.
• An understanding of safeguarding and child protection protocols.
• Basic literacy and numeracy skills.

Desirable Qualifications:

• Experience working with children with special educational needs (SEN).
• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, or equivalent qualification.
• First Aid qualification (preferred but not essential).
