Ortus Recruitment is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant and inclusive mainstream Primary School in Croydon. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to make a real difference in the classroom, supporting both Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2) students, with a particular focus on those with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

About the Role: We are looking for a proactive, motivated individual who is ready to jump in and support the teaching staff. The ideal candidate will bring positive energy, adaptability, and a passion for working with children. Prior experience in a classroom setting, or experience working with children, would be highly advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide tailored support for SEN students, helping them thrive in their learning environment.
• Work collaboratively with teachers to support both KS1 & KS2 pupils.
• Create a nurturing and positive classroom atmosphere that encourages student engagement and development.

Role Details:

• Full-time: Monday to Friday
• Hours: 8:30am to 4:00pm
• Competitive daily rate: £85 – £100 (depending on experience)
• Location: Croydon-based Primary School
