Teaching Assistant | Downs Syndrome Support | September Start

The Headteacher of a Primary School in Sutton is searching for a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with Downs Syndrome with their academic and personal development.

As a 1:1 TA you will:

• Work one-to-one with a pupil with Down Syndrome

• Assist the pupil in accessing the curriculum

• Assist the pupil in day-to-day school life

• Get to know the pupil and work alongside the teacher to support the pupil

• Complete learning activities with the pupil

• Assist pupil in making progress academically, socially, and personally

The successful candidate:

• Will be kind, passionate, and dedicated

• Will have an understanding of how to support children with Down Syndrome

• Will have experience working within an educational setting.

• Will have a good command of the English language.

• Will have an understanding of how to support children with SEN

• Will have Teaching Assistant qualifications or SEN qualifications
