Here at Ortus Recruitment we are seeking an experienced teaching assistant to join our vibrant and inclusive primary school that is committed to providing an exceptional learning environment for pupils.

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant who has experience working in a Primary School setting. In this role, you will play a vital role in supporting teachers and helping pupils thrive academically.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• You will need to collaborate with teachers to create a positive and engaging learning environment.
• Assisting in the preparation of learning materials, setting up classrooms , and maintaining a clean and tidy environment
• You will work alongside the class teacher to manage challenging behaviour within the classroom and implement the schools behaviour management strategies
• You will need to undertake administrative duties such as marking classwork and homework, as well as updating and removing display boards
•  You need to be confident and prepared to assist during emergencies or incidents, ensuring the safety and well-being of all students

Requirements for this position:

• Experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a school setting
• A strong academic background, A minimum grade C in GCSE English and Math
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Patience, empathy and a genuine passion for working with children
