Teacher Assistant | West Drayton, Hillingdon

Position: Year 3 TA
Location: West Drayton, London Borough of Hillingdon – UB7
Schedule: Full-Time, Long-Term (Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM)
Salary: £425 – £500 per week (PAYE, NO Umbrella Deductions) Depending on experience

Our client’s mainstream school is based in the vibrant area of West Drayton, Hillingdon. We are looking for a dedicated individual to work 1:1 with a Year 3 pupil, providing tailored support to meet their learning and developmental needs. While your primary responsibility will be with this Year 3 pupil, flexibility is key, as you may be required to work across the school as needed.

The pupil you will be working with has Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), requiring structured strategies to manage transitions and support their learning. Your role will involve creating a supportive and stable environment that encourages their progress both academically and socially. Working closely with the class teacher and other staff, you will help to foster a positive learning experience, promoting growth and independence.

Requirements:

• Experience working with children with ASD and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs (essential)
• A minimum of 3-6 months of experience working with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a school setting
• Patience, empathy, and the ability to build positive relationships with children
• Ability to work independently and as part of a supportive team
• A background or strong interest in sports (desirable)
• Relevant qualifications in education or child development would be advantageous
