Ortus Recruitment are working with a mainstream primary school in Isleworth and they are on the hunt for a proactive Teaching Assistant who is ready to commit to a full time-long term role. If you apply for this role, you will need prior experience working with children in a professional setting and need to be able to start immediately.

Responsibilities:

• Observe and report on pupils performance
• Contribute to the management of pupils behaviour
• Assist in preparing and maintaining the learning environment
• Contribute to the planning and evaluation of learning activities
• Tidy away equipment after lessons to ensure a safe environment
• Look after children who are unwell or upset.

Skills needed for this role:

• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Patience and ability to stay calm in stressful situations
• To be flexible and open to change for working on different activities
• Ability to be able to build strong relationships with staff and pupils
• Creative- to make engaging learning activities for pupils
