Ortus Recruitment is recruiting for a caring, passionate, and hardworking Teaching Assistant to work in an ‘Outstanding’ school in Merton.

Are you an experienced primary Teaching Assistant, looking for a new full-time role in Merton? If you’re committed to supporting the learning of Primary School aged children. The school believes that there is no limit to any child’s potential and students are challenged to be the best that they can be.

If you are hoping to become a teacher, this post would provide valuable support and training in advance of any future application of Teacher Training.

 In a Teaching Assistant we look for:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• The ability to encourage and motivate children
• High expectations of themselves and their students
• Previous experience working within a classroom setting or experience working with children of the primary age range

You must:

• Hold right to work in the UK
• Hold a fully enhanced DBS on the Update Service – if you do not possess a current DBS you will have to process a new application (we can help guide you through the process if necessary)
• Provide recent and relevant references
• Be available to work full-time
