Job Description: As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to support the educational and personal development of our students. Your role will be diverse and rewarding, and you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of children in our school. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting teachers in planning and delivering engaging and differentiated lessons to meet the needs of all students.
- Providing one-to-one or small group support to students who require additional help with their learning.
- Supporting students with special educational needs or disabilities to access the curriculum and participate fully in school life.
- Promoting positive behavior management strategies and helping to maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment.
- Collaborating with colleagues, parents, and external agencies to develop and implement individual education plans (IEPs) for students with specific needs.
- Monitoring and recording student progress, and providing feedback to teachers and parents as required.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children in an educational setting, ideally as a Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant.
- A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their learning and development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Patience, empathy, and resilience in working with children facing various challenges.
- Relevant qualifications or training in education, childcare, or special needs support are desirable but not essential.
