Position Overview: Are you passionate about making a difference in young children’s lives? We are looking for a dedicated and energetic Primary Teaching Assistant to join our team. You will work closely with our talented educators to deliver engaging lessons, support individual student needs, and contribute to a positive classroom atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Classroom Support: Assist the lead teacher with lesson planning, preparation, and delivery. Support a vibrant and interactive learning environment.
  • Student Assistance: Provide personalized support to students through one-on-one and small group instruction, helping them with classwork and reinforcing learning concepts.
  • Behavior Management: Help maintain a positive and orderly classroom environment by managing student behavior and supporting the school’s behavioral policies.
  • Resource Preparation: Prepare and organize educational materials and classroom resources to enhance learning activities.
  • Special Education Support: Assist students with special educational needs, adapting activities and providing targeted support as required.
  • Supervision: Supervise students during recess, lunchtime, and on school outings, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Administrative Tasks: Support administrative duties such as record-keeping, grading, and communication with parents and staff.
  • Professional Development: Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and stay current with educational best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent (required); Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field (preferred).
  • Experience: Previous experience working with young children in an educational setting is highly desirable.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong organizational abilities, and a proactive, positive attitude.
  • Traits: Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children. Ability to adapt to different learning styles and needs.
  • Technology: Basic knowledge of classroom technology and educational software.
