A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Sheffield is looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team. You’ll play a vital role in supporting pupils both in and out of the classroom, helping to foster a love of learning and positive personal development.
About the Role:
- Location: Sheffield
- Hours: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday
- Pay: £85 – £95 per day (PAYE, based on experience)
- Start Date: Immediate or flexible for the right candidate
- Contract Type: Full-time, term-time only (potential for long-term or permanent placement)
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide general classroom support across a range of subjects and year groups
- Work one-to-one or in small groups with pupils who may need additional support
- Assist with the planning and delivery of engaging, inclusive lessons
- Help maintain a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment
- Support the class teacher with behaviour management and classroom organisation
- Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
What We’re Looking For:
- A kind, patient, and enthusiastic individual with a genuine passion for education
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
- A proactive, flexible approach to supporting both academic and emotional needs
- Previous experience working with children is desirable, but not essential
- Relevant qualifications (such as a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant certificate) are a plus, though not required
