Teaching Assistant (Primary) – Immediate Start

Contract: Full-time, Term-time only

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our friendly primary school team in Sheffield. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our pupils, particularly by providing support for children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN, both in and out of the classroom.
• Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging learning activities.
• Support pupils in developing social skills, confidence, and independence.
• Help create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.
• Contribute to the wider life of the school community.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has experience supporting children in a school setting (experience with SEN is highly desirable).
• Is patient, empathetic, and committed to helping every child reach their potential.
• Works well as part of a team and communicates effectively with staff, pupils, and parents.
• Is flexible, reliable, and able to adapt to the needs of individual pupils.
