Teaching Assistant (Primary School)
Location: Sheffield, South Yorkshire
Job Type: Full-Time / Part-Time (Term Time Only)
Salary: £89-£100 per day (dependent on experience)
Start Date: September 2025

A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Sheffield is looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join its team. This role involves supporting classroom teaching, working with small groups or individual pupils, and helping create a positive and engaging learning environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the class teacher in delivering lessons and managing classroom activities
• Support pupils’ academic progress and emotional wellbeing
• Prepare learning materials and classroom resources
• Provide tailored support to pupils with additional learning needs
• Promote a positive and inclusive school culture

Requirements:

• Experience working with children (school setting preferred)
• Positive, patient, and proactive approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Good literacy and numeracy
• Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning) are desirable
