Job Title: Teaching Assistant – Primary School
Location: Sheffield, South Yorkshire
Job Type: Full-time / Part-time (depending on availability)
Salary: £89–£100 per day (depending on experience and qualifications)

About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and vibrant primary school in Sheffield. The ideal candidate will support classroom teachers to deliver engaging lessons, provide individual and small group support to pupils, and help foster a positive, inclusive learning environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about making a difference in children’s education.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the class teacher in delivering high-quality education and daily classroom activities
• Work with individuals and small groups of pupils, including those with additional needs
• Support pupils’ emotional, social, and behavioural development
• Prepare resources and help with classroom displays
• Supervise pupils during break times and outings
• Support the teacher with record-keeping and assessments where appropriate
• Promote a safe, supportive, and stimulating environment for all learners

Requirements:

• Experience working with children in a primary school setting (preferred but not essential)
• Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or working towards)
• A calm, patient, and flexible approach
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A genuine passion for working with children and helping them succeed
• A current Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
