The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to support students in their learning and development. You will assist in the classroom, work with individuals or small groups, and help create a nurturing environment that enables all students to thrive.

Key Responsibilities

• Support teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
• Work with individuals or small groups of students to provide additional learning support.
• Assist with classroom management and behaviour support.
• Prepare learning materials and resources as directed by the teacher.
• Support students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) where required.
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers.
• Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
• Supervise students during breaks and other non-classroom activities.

About You

We are looking for a compassionate and proactive individual with a passion for education and student development. The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant (desirable but not essential).
• A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, CACHE, or equivalent) is an advantage.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to build positive relationships with students, teachers, and parents.
• Patience, resilience, and enthusiasm for working with children.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
