Ortus Recruitment are seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant specializing in behavioural issues for our partner school located in the London Borough of Camden. The school has a wide range of resources and excellent facilities, is local to public transportation, and has a welcoming and experienced leadership team of specialists to support you.

This role presents the opportunity to expand on your experience working with children with SEMH needs and to support them on a one-to-one and small group basis when required. The successful candidate will also have the chance to secure a long-term, permanent position!

The role will require:

• A patient and firm approach
• A sensitive and flexible nature
• Prior SEN experience (desirable)
• Leading one-to-one interventions
• Following individual plans for students
• Ability to work well within a team

Applicants must:

• Have experience in SEN
• Have an understanding of the Key Stage 1 and 2 Curriculum
• Have an enhanced DBS on the update service OR be willing to apply for one
• Hold a relevant teaching qualification; CACHE level 3/ Degree
• Provide 2 References
• Have at least 3 months classroom experience
