Job Title: Teaching Assistant (Primary School)
Location: Sheffield
Salary: £18,000 – £22,000 per annum (pro rata, dependent on experience)
Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time (Term Time Only)

The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting teachers and helping children reach their full potential. You will work with individuals and small groups, assist with classroom management, and contribute to a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting pupils’ learning across a range of subjects
• Assisting the class teacher with planning, preparation, and resource development
• Helping to manage classroom behaviour and promote positive relationships
• Providing one-to-one or small group support for pupils with additional needs
• Supporting the emotional and social development of children
• Participating in school events, training, and meetings as required

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with children, ideally in a primary school setting
• A relevant Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or willingness to work towards one)
• A patient, caring, and flexible approach to working with children
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

Desirable:

• Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
• First Aid training
