Job Title: Teaching Assistant (Primary School)
Location: Sheffield
Salary: £18,000 – £22,000 per annum (pro rata, dependent on experience)
Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time (Term Time Only)
Start Date: September 2025

The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting teachers and helping children reach their full potential. You will work with individuals and small groups, assist with classroom management, and contribute to a positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting pupils’ learning across a range of subjects
- Assisting the class teacher with planning, preparation, and resource development
- Helping to manage classroom behaviour and promote positive relationships
- Providing one-to-one or small group support for pupils with additional needs
- Supporting the emotional and social development of children
- Participating in school events, training, and meetings as required
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children, ideally in a primary school setting
- A relevant Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or willingness to work towards one)
- A patient, caring, and flexible approach to working with children
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
Desirable:
- Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
- First Aid training
