Teaching Assistant | Sheffield
About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant and supportive school community in Sheffield. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about education and committed to supporting the learning and development of children across a variety of age groups and abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the classroom teacher in delivering high-quality education and care to pupils.
- Provide targeted support to individuals and small groups, helping them to access the curriculum.
- Support students with additional needs, promoting inclusion and positive behaviour.
- Contribute to the preparation of teaching materials and classroom displays.
- Assist in the assessment and recording of pupils’ progress.
- Supervise pupils during non-classroom time including lunch and break times as required.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience working with children in an educational setting (school, nursery, or similar).
- A positive and patient attitude with strong communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Ideally, a relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (e.g., Level 2 or 3) or willingness to work towards one.
