About the Role:

• Location: Sheffield
• Hours: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday (term-time only)
• Pay: £85 – £100 per day (depending on experience, paid via PAYE)
• Contract Type: Full-time, long-term role (with potential for extension or permanent placement)

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and activities
• Provide targeted support to individual pupils or small groups, ensuring every child is included and supported
• Help manage classroom behaviour and promote a positive learning environment
• Contribute to the organisation and preparation of classroom materials and displays
• Assist with the supervision of pupils throughout the school day, including break and lunchtime duties

Ideal Candidate:

• Friendly, approachable, and passionate about working with children
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to creating a positive school experience for all pupils
• Patient, adaptable, and able to respond to the varying needs of young learners
• Previous experience in a school or childcare setting is desirable but not essential

Desirable (but not required):

• Knowledge or experience in Special Educational Needs (SEN)
• A background in tutoring, mentoring, or youth work
• A genuine interest in pursuing a career in education
