Teaching Assistant | South Croydon
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team. As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with educators to support students in their learning journey. Responsibilities:
– Assist teachers in delivering lessons and educational activities
– Provide one-on-one support to students with special needs, including those with autism or other learning disabilities
– Help create a safe and inclusive learning environment
– Support students in developing social skills and positive behaviour
– Assist with classroom management and organization
– Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
– Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents
– Assist with administrative tasks, such as grading assignments or preparing teaching materials
Supervise students during breaks, lunchtime, or field trips
Experience:
– Previous experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting is non negotiable
– Knowledge of special education practices and strategies
– Familiarity with working with students on the autism spectrum
– Ability to communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents
– Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping children learn and grow
